The History Of The Building.
The Karimjee Jivanji company owned this building, later down the line it was then given to a Bohora family who were not wealthy at the time so they could reside in the building for free. The building was created with the intention of providing housing for those who could not otherwise afford it. The upstairs and downstairs rooms were utilised for free of charge accommodation in the 1960s, but by the 1970s and 1980s, the building’s condition had weakened and it had began to degrade significantly. The entire building was refurbished in 2017–2022 to create this wonderful guesthouse where people can stay for a affordable price.

We are located in the heart of Stone Town, on one of the busiest and most popular streets in the city, Mkunazini Street, near the world- famous Anglican Church and the historical Slave Museum, two of Zanzibar’s most prominent tourist historical tourist attractions just a stone throw away from the property.
Our hotel provides our guests with modern convenience. We assure that your stay in Zanzibar will be enjoyable with us. The hotel has a total of 18 rooms, which are divided across two floors: the first and second floor. All o ur 18 rooms are decorated with an eye for the finest details. Our luxury selection of suites offers views of the town’s many rooftops and the dramatic scenery of the winding alleyways whilst others are uplifted with the beautiful décor and architectural elegance adorned across the hotel.

All ages are welcome kids between ages 0- 4years stay for free. 5-12 years sharing with an adult pay per child. - ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Check in 12:00 noon and check out is 10.00 AM but an early check in or a late checkout can be requested through the hotel’s reception. Early check in and late checkout are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. - HOUSEKEEPING
All our rooms are serviced daily by housekeeping together with a turndown service in the evening. - PETS
Pets are not allowed at Zanzi House.
